Problem
The client managed orders through Google Sheets and email: requests came in manually, stock checks were manual, and invoicing happened later. At higher volume, delays and order errors increased.
Approach
We built vendor storefronts, spec-based product matching, Stripe Connect invoicing, and a guided onboarding flow. The trade-off was deferring advanced storefront customization so we could ship core operations first.
Result
The team moved from manual operations to a faster ordering flow that scaled onboarding and throughput.
What Could Be Better
Search relevance underperformed for niche categories in the first release. We improved ranking after reviewing failed-query logs.
